James Caps A Fantastic Games For Team GB

The ESF would like to congratulate James De Gale’s gold winning performance at the Beijing Olympics. It was Britain’s first boxing gold medal since Audley Harrison’s heavyweight victory in 2000. James took the middleweight gold boxing title, albeit an untidy fight, by beating the highly rated, Emilio Correa of Cuba on points. James’s gold medal capped a fantastic games for Team GB who finished 4th in the league table, its best result for 100 years. The road to London starts here and the bench-mark has been laid down by Beijing!
