Turkish champions Fenerbahce played Manisaspor in front of women and children only after men were banned as part of a plan by Turkey’s Football Federation (TFF) to stamp out hooliganism.

FIFPro Sign Historic Partnership with Danish University

The partnership with University College Denmark is a unique opportunity for professional footballers to develop a career after their playing days are over said Alan Irwin, ESF CEO who was instrumental in negotiating the partnership deal on behalf of FIFPro with the University and developing the initial preparatory work that was funded by The European Commission

The overall aim of the project was to develop a FIFPro On-Line Academy for professional footballers that would initially be subscribed to from the identified countries named in the project and which would essentially identify a dual career for professional footballers on exit from the game, either through natural retirement or injury
