ESF Education and Careers

Welcome to the Education Sports Forum (ESF) website. Since 2005 the ESF has worked extensively with its affinity organisations to provide high quality advise and guidance on all matters relating to education, training and career advise for professional sporting organisations.

More specifically the ESF has project managed many government funded education projects to support professional sportswomen and men in their education and career development.

It has built up a solid foundation of education providers in the UK in both Further and Higher Education and established links with Colleges and Universities across Europe and around the world.

It’s Chief Executive, Alan Irwin has academic, research and industrial experience, working in the field of Sport and International Labour Relations spanning 40 years.

The ESF consultant team have project managed and delivered funded programmes on behalf of its affinity organisations in excess of £10 million pounds and has built up a reputation for experience, reliability and professional integrity.

On many occasions it has extended its brief to work with government departments, trade union and employer organisations and worked extensively within the Third Sector, supporting key community initiatives.
